32살 남성 박00씨(가명)은 대학교를 졸업하고 편의점 아르바이트와 택배 배달 등을 하면서 돈을 벌었다. 그러다 25살 때 활동지원사 자격을 받았고 뇌병변과 정신장애를 지닌 장애인 활동지원사로 일했다. 다만 코로나19가 들이닥치면서 ‘감염 위험을 이유로 일자리를 잃게 됐다.

같은 학교 문화콘텐츠문화경영학과 3학년 학생은 “용돈을 벌고 싶어 기간제 아르바이트를 구하려고 해도 까다로운 상태”이라며 “요즘에는 편의점과 식당에 장시간 일하다가 가게 사정으로 인하여 어쩔 수 없이 일을 그만두게 된 친구들도 불어났다”고 이야기 했다.

조사 결과 아르바이트생 중 28.3%가 비교적 짧은 기간 근무하는 단기 아르바이트를 선호한다고 답했다. 세부적으로 살펴보면 1주일 미만 근무를 선호한다는 답변은 17.5%였고, 희망하는 기간 하루만 근무하는 △하루 알바를 선호한다는 답변은 11.5%였다.
