I finally got around to replacing that old dial thermostat with a programmable one. The installer showed up on time, assessed the existing wiring, and had the new unit mounted and connected in about an hour. He also walked me through setting up the schedule and connecting it to my phone. No mess, no fuss, and my heating finally turns down automatically when I leave for work.
